Except Kenya and Djibouti nationals, visas are required for all visitors to Ethiopia. Visitors should obtain a visa before departure.
All visas will be valid from the date of issue.

· Current passport and the passport must be valid for at least six months;
· One recent passport-size photograph.
· Copy of Green card or I-94 or Work Permit (Except US National)
· A completed visa application form (Click here to download the application form). (The form can be filled out online. The form should be printed and with necessary documents be sent to with the proper payment in the form of a money order or personal check to Ethiopis Travel Visa Service, 9304 Forest Ln. Suite 231, Dallas, Texas 75243)
· Eritreans and foreigners of Eritrean origin should get the visa before departure to Ethiopia (Email us to get the special application form at ethiopistravel@gmail.com)
· Service fees have to be paid by personal check or money order and made payable to Ethiopis Travel; See fees information below (Please note that fees include the embassy visa fee, return postage fees to customer, and service fee).
For U.S. nationals getting a tourist visa: 125.00 (Multiple or single visa valid for up to 2 years)
For U.S. national getting a business visa: 125.00 (Multiple or single visa valid for up to 2 years)
For all other nationals getting a tourist visa: 95.00 (Multiple or single entry valid for up to 6 months)
For all other nationals getting a business visa: 165.00 (Multiple or single entry valid for up to 1 year)
· Visa process should be completed within 2-3 weeks from the day that we receive the request and documents from customers.
Tourist visa, can be issued for three months on arrival at Bole International Airport for nationals and residents of the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Democratic people’s Republic of Korea (northern Korea), Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea (south Korea), the Russian Federation, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States of America.
NOTE: Eritreans and foreign nationals of Eritrean Origin shall not be issued a visa on Arrival. They must obtain an entry visa prior to their departure to Ethiopia.
All business visa applicants should attach a letter addressed to Ethiopian Embassy from his /her organization explaining the purpose of his/her travels.
US Officials or Diplomats traveling with Diplomatic, Official or Service Passport must bring an official letter from US State Department.
Officials or Diplomats of other countries traveling with Diplomatic, official or service Passport must bring official letter from appropriate Authorities or Embassies.

To replace your Ethiopian passport or to get a new Ethiopian passport
For passport replacement: $115.00 payable to Ethiopis Travel.
NOTICE
New or renewed passports have to be the Electronic Passports that requieres mandatory finger print. Therefore; Starting from April 2010 all Ethiopians who want to obtain a new, replacemnt (lost or Existing) passport or renewal of a passport should fulfill the requierments stated below.
Ethiopis Travel advises all appilicants to submit their appilication atleast two months ahead of their planned travel date or prior to applying for any other services that requieres a valid passport. Those using a postal service are advised to get a tracking number from the service provider.
**Minors under age of 14 are exempted from giving finger print.
A. Requirements for Replacement of a Passport
- Four recent, colored photographs of size 3 x 4 cm with white background and name of the appilicant at the back of the photograph;
- Two copies of any supporting documents showing Ethiopian citizenship (i.e. copy of Old passport, birth certificate, kebele ID, etc.);
- Two copies of Green card (both sides) or I-94 INS papers, or other document that shows present immigration status (for those who do not have Green Card)
- Service fee must be in personal check, money order or Cashiers Check or Certified bank check made payable to Ethiopis Travel.
If you come into our office in person, you can make the payment by cash as well. - Finger print (Left and Right index) of the appilicant. (Those using mail services should go to the nearest police stations to give finger prints and attache the finger print sheets with the application form

B. Requirements for first time Appilicant.
First time appilicant means
1) Those Ethiopians who entered USA with their parents as a co-travelor by their parent’s passport and can present evidence for that.
2) Those Ethiopians who never have had Ethiopian passport and can present evidence.
- Four recent, colored photographs of size 3 x 4 cm with white background and name of the appilicant at the back of the photograph;
- Two copies of any supporting documents showing Ethiopian citizenship (i.e. birth certificate, kebele ID, school certificates, etc.);
- Two Copies of a Green card (both sides) or I-94 INS papers or other documents that shows present immigration status (for those who do not have a Green Card;
